As a former fishing village Strande has retained its charm and offers deceleration from the stressful everyday life far away from mass tourism. The small coastal town with its beautiful beach invites you to relax - pure relaxation is pre-programmed. From Kiel city center you can reach Strande in about 20 minutes by car.
The small beach promenade can be explored on foot and offers various options for refreshments to end your visit perfectly.
Lighthouse Bülk
North of the municipality stands the landmark of Strande - the Bülker lighthouse. Located on the idyllic headland "Bülker Huk", the lighthouse is accessible to visitors.
The viewing platform offers a unique view of the beautiful coastal landscape from a height of 22m. A trip to the Bülker lighthouse can be optimally combined with a nice walk. The path along the coast leads directly past the lighthouse. In the pavilion at the foot of the lighthouse you can enjoy a break with a delicious snack and a great view.
Bathing fun on the beach
Two natural beaches can be used in Strande. The main beach is accessible for a small visitor's tax and offers a lot of fun and recreation for young and old. In addition to a playground and public toilets, beach chairs can be rented here at the beach bistro. The second natural beach is located in the direction of Schilksee and is free to use. For those who are accompanied by four paws, there is also a dog beach right next to the bathing beach.
Gastronomical offer
In the restaurant of the Strandhotel you can expect an exquisite offer of seasonal and regional dishes. Under the motto "Think global, act local", maritime cuisine is served here. To round off your visit, you can choose from a selection of over 200 positions from the in-house vinotheque. From Mondays to Fridays, a selected lunch menu also awaits you here.
