Bathing
Every year in April, Kiel's bathing season officially begins with the bathing in the Kiel Fjord at the Kiellinie. Whether with or without a wetsuit - we look forward to seeing you!

The spring event immerses Kiel's city center in a sea of flowers and celebrates the awakening of new, fresh companies in Kiel.
Marine Conservation City Day
June 8 is World Oceans Day, but in Kiel we are going one step further and also celebrating "Marine Conservation City Day". As a marine conservation city, Kiel uses this occasion to inspire young and old to protect our oceans and to make this important topic tangible.
Kieler Woche
Every year in June there is a very special atmosphere in the city, because it is Kieler Woche. Celebrate with us at the biggest sailing event and summer festival in the north! Cheese dairies of the KäseStraße Schleswig-Holstein - awarded with the quality mark "Geprüfte Qualität Schleswig-Holstein" (certified quality Schleswig-Holstein) by the Chamber of Agriculture - meet vintners from Southern Germany in front of a maritime backdrop and invite you to feast, linger and enjoy with daily live music!

From loud to quiet, from opera to duck, from sausage to veggies, from classical to reggae - the Bootshafen Summer has something for over 70,000 visitors every year. For 15 days, Kiel celebrates with national and international artists in various musical genres at the boat harbour. Celebrate with us!
