Stadtwerke Ice Festival
Location: Ostseekai Kiel (Ostseekai 1, 24103 Kiel)
The Stadtwerke Ice Festival has been a fixture in Kiel for 23 years and provides winter fun during the eight-week season. The fully covered ice rink at Ostseekai offers a wide range of activities including ice skating, skate hire, curling, company and Christmas parties and children's birthday parties.
In January 2024, the popular STADTWERKE KIEL Eisstock Masters tournament will take place again, with guaranteed good weather thanks to the complete roofing of the 1,400 m² total area.
Opening hours
Mon-Wed 1 am to 8 pm (during the school holidays from 10 am)
Thu-Fri 1 am to 9 pm (during the school holidays open from 10 am)
Sat 10 am to 9 pm
Sun 10 am to 8 pm
Christmas and New Year's Eve open from 10 am to 8 pm.
Closed on Christmas Eve and New Year's Day.
During the Christmas vacations there is a children's disco on Wednesdays (27.12.23 and 03.01.24) from 2 pm to 4 pm.

HOLIDAY ON ICE delights with an impressive new show in the 2024/2025 season! The spectacular show returns to Kiel from 22. to 24. November 2024.
Tickets are available in advance at the Welcome Centre Kieler Förde.

EisDISCO powered by Casino Kiel
New this season is the regular EisDISCO powered by Casino Kiel! Changing DJs lure you to the ice rink with the best beats - whether current charts or themed discos, you can look forward to the disco evenings on the ice rink!
Every Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm!
The theme disco always starts at 8 pm and includes Best of 2000s by NIKKI, Rave on Ice by Beatfighterz or Schlager on Ice by DJ gordown.
Tickets are available at the box office. A limited number of disco tickets can already be booked here!
Food & drink from the "Kajüte"
This year, Event Catering Kiel will provide you with delicious snacks and drinks. View the separate menu for catering for your company and Christmas party here. There will also be a great offer for school classes and children's birthday parties.
All leftover food will be donated to the Kieler Tafel!
Responsibility for the climate
The Stadtwerke Ice Festival is not only attracting enthusiastic visitors again this year, but is also making greater efforts to save energy. Compared to the 2019/2020 ice cream season, impressive savings of at least 30% are to be achieved. This will be achieved through the use of state-of-the-art cooling technology and the use of plastic rinks for curling that can be used for several years. In addition, the energy supply with 100% green electricity ensures an environmentally friendly event. The Stadtwerke Eisfestival can therefore not only spread fun and enjoyment, but also shows that sustainable events are possible and that energy savings can also be implemented at large events.

Parking-Plus
Show your current parking, bus, ferry or train ticket at the cash desk and you will receive a refund of €0.50 from a minimum purchase of €10!

Bus
The bus stops "Schloßgarten", "Kunsthalle" or "Seegarten, Ostseekai" are served by the KVG bus lines 32, 41/42 and 61/62. Here you can get aTimetable information about Nah.SH.
Car
Sufficient parking spaces are available directly at the Ostseekai - also for coaches. Free drop-off and pick-up (10 minutes free), then EUR 1 per 45 minutes.
Bicycle
Bicycle racks are available. You can also use the SprottenFlotte bike-sharing service. The first 30 minutes are free of charge.
