For the 5th year running, Germany’s beach volleyball elite will come to Kiel’s Holstenplatz. The preliminary tournament of this year’s „Unser Norden“ Beach-Tour promises to keep spectators on the edge of their seats, uniting sports and a breezy beach atmosphere - right in the heart of Kiel! You can look forward to top-class sports!
“A taste of sailing” – trips and sailing courses for children, youths and guests of our city. The sailing camp, which is the only one of its kind in Germany, invites you to optimist sailing courses, city tours by boat, after work sailing and many other sailing events directly at the Kielinie seven days a week.
During Ascension Day weekend, Kiel’s Bootshafen will be transformed into a paradise for beer lovers – over 100 different varieties of beer will be presented and visitors will be able to try all of them to their heart’s content. You can choose between international, national and local beers. Combining a wonderful view of the fjord, a colourful musical programme and several supporting events, this festival will certainly give an early taste of summer.
At the Pentecost weekend 2018, there is a larger than life play paradise at the Kiellinie at the Kiel´s fjord coast lasting for three days. You are welcome to take part in 130 activities for free on over 30.000 sqm and experience parcours onshore and in the water, creative zones, discovery corners and much more. Special Olympics is the biggest sports movement worldwide for people with mental and multiple disabilities that is officially approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). From May 14th until May 18th 2018 there are more than 4.000 athletes competing in numerous sporty competitions in Kiel. They are going to bring emotions, excitement and vitality to Kiel and the surroundings. The competitions include 19 disciplines as well as the possibility to act free from competition. There is no entrance fee at the sports facilities.
