More than 100 events ensure a colorful cultural summer in Kiel: exhibitions, city- and beach walks, guided tours and an open air theatre on the town hall square and much more.

An outstanding festival in the international classical music scene. There will be more than 120 concerts given by exceptional artists in more than 40 scenic places like barns, churches or castles.

With the slogan "festival of culinary delights" the summer festival attracts thousands of visitors to the Bootshafen every year. Lovers of premium German wine and cheese will be truly thrilled by this open-air event.

The museums invite you for a nocturnal expedition. Until midnight a diverse program with exhibitions, music, literature, dance and experiments will be presented. A free shuttle-service runs between the museums. At the closing-party you can dance until the early morning.

Three million visitors, 5,000 sailors and 2,000 events turn Kieler Woche into the world-biggest sailing event. Experience spectacular sailing regattas, see world-stars perform and take a balloon-trip over
Kiel in the context of the International Balloon Sail.

On 10th and 11th of October 2021 kiel's city turns into a large farmer's market. Discover traditional and regional products and handcraft.

For two days, Kiel’s friendship to its Scandinavian neighbor countries will be celebrated with an exciting program. kKel opens up for citywide Sunday-shopping from 1 pm – 6 pm.

Within walking distance to the fjord, kiel’s five atmospheric christmas markets await your visit. Savor some Glühwein (hot mulled wine) and discover treats and gifts.
Enjoy ice skating with an impressive view of the harbor from november 2021 until january 2022. Celebrate the holidays and savor the food and drinks in the heated catering area, play a game of Bavarian Curling or dare to go winter sailing – Kiel’s Ice Festival right at the waterfront is the most maritime winter fun in Northern Germany!
