The Copacabana of the North! Discover Kiels' delightful Promenade!
The Kiellinie is Kiel's hotspot, especially during summer. The Kiellinie promenade is where locals and guests, dog owners, walkers, cyclists, joggers, families...simply everyone who wants to enjoy the fjord panorama, meet together.
On this page we have compiled all the stations that you must see!

Station 1:
Bridge at the castle garden with best view of cruise ships and the shore power plant
From the highest point of the Schloßgarten Bridge, the big ships can be admired best.
The Port of Kiel's shore power facilities also make cruise ships cleaner!
At the shore power facility at the Ostseekai, the big ships can switch off their engines to avoid air pollution and noise emissions during their berthing time.
In addition to the ecological benefits, the system is also a visual highlight.
Thanks to 12,000 LED lights, the facade shines in ever-changing designs after dark, winning the German Light Design Award.
Station 2:
At the sport boat harbor you get the first impression of the hustle and bustle on the fjord with its sailors, cruise ships and water sports enthusiasts.
Food truck break:
Just a few 100m away is an opportunity for a short culinary stop.
Enjoy handmade ice cream with a view of the fjord and the passing ships or treat yourself to a portion of hot fries with tasty toppings from the fritters galley.
Freshly fortified, we stop at the seal pool and watch the little rascals romp around. The small aquarium offers an entertaining opportunity to learn about the underwater world for little money.

Station 3:

At the Foerd view Park you can relax and from the viewing platform you have the best view of the typical Kiel shipyard cranes and passing ships.
In summer, spontaneous salsa groups dance here in the evenings, creating a good mood and Caribbean atmosphere.
Station 4:

For those who want to enjoy not only panoramic views, but also culinary delights, two top-class restaurants invite you to stop in.
In the "Lagom" and the "Flygge" you can enjoy high-quality, creatively prepared dishes.
Station 5:

After refreshments, you can watch various water sports enthusiasts just a few steps away, or get active yourself.
Many water sports clubs have settled here: from water polo and SUP to rowing and sailing, you can let off steam at the Kiellinie.

Jump into the water for refreshment?
Burn off the calories while sailing?
Or relax on the boat and let yourself drift?
All this is available at Camp 24/7, where the floating dock is open to all water rats from June. You can gain your first sailing experience with a trial sail, a city tour or sunset sailing.
Food and drink is also provided directly at the camp: Moby spoils you with modern interpreted fish sandwiches and snacks from the sea, plus a local drink... what more could you want?
Station 7:

Ferries depart from the Reventlou Bridge to the eastern shore.
Station 8:

From the stair-like seating areas at the Landtag, you have a great view of the foerde.
Station 9:

Blücherbrücke and Sandhafen: Fish sandwiches, soft ice cream or enjoying a cocktail with your feet in the sand: Blücherbrücke is a great place to enjoy yourself!
Station 10:

Bellevue bathing area: Water lovers watch out! 2021 the new bathing area was opened and enjoys great popularity.
Station 11:

Drink cocktails during the "blue hour", rent a SUP or treat yourself to a salty refreshment - the Seebar Düsternbrook offers it all.
Station 12:

Diederichsen Park: the beautiful park offers great views of the Kiellinie from above.
Station 13:

At the end of the Kiellinie, the famous sail training ship "Gorch Fock" has its home port.
