Sailing directly at the Kiellinie
On Friday, 9 June 2023, The Ocean Race, one of the toughest regattas around the globe, is coming to Kiel Fjord for the Kiel Fly-By. The turning mark for The Ocean Race Kiel Fly-By is directly in front of the Kiel Line, so you can experience the spectacular turn of the Ocean Racers live and up close. In addition, there will be a varied supporting programme in the Ocean Live Park on Kiellinie from 8 - 10 June. Here the focus is on sailing and above all sustainability, which is what connects the Ocean City of Kiel and The Ocean Race. In addition to extensive food offers, you can expect various sailing-related events and an entertaining stage programme including live stream and moderation. Be there live when the impressive Ocean Racers fly past the Kiellinie and feel the energy of the top sailing sport in Kiel.Sailing.City!

The Ocean Summit-organised Marine Conservation City Day on June 8th will inspire on-site exhibitions and lectures on marine conservation. A colourful hands-on and cultural programme awaits ocean fans of all ages.

„Planetary safety; tackling our biggest challenge with circular business“
Owain Griffiths will give the keynote speech "Planetary safety; tackling our biggest challenge with circular business" on the Main Stage on the Day of the Marine City. In this he will go into detail about Volvo's responsibilities and goals. E.g. about the ambition to become a circular business as a pioneer for people and the planet to tackle the climate and biodiversity crisis - including the impact on the oceans.
Kids Event
June 8th to 10th
The Kids Event will inspire children with various activities on the topic of the oceans, marine protection and sustainability. At the end there will be a children's concert.
Stage programme

In addition to the live broadcast of the race, there will be interviews, lectures and an evening programme with live acts on stage.
DSV Roadshow
June 8th to 10th
The sailing youth of the German Sailing Association will be on site with its roadshow to bring sailing closer to children and young people.
Open Camp

The sailing camp at the Kiellinie offers sailing for young and old who want to get to know the sport of sailing.
Fly-By
June 9th
The IMOCAs are expected to arrive in Kiel's inner fjord between 16:00 and 17:00 as they round the turning mark off Reventlouwiese.

Waszp-Regatta
June 9th to 10th
Sailors from sailing clubs all over Germany will compete against each other in a Waszp regatta on 09 and 10 June in Kiel's inner fjord in front of the spectators.
Team8 Boats
June 10th
On site there is the possibility to try sailing on Team8 boats from Schülersegeln Schleswig-Holstein.

Escort Trip with Freya
Marvel at the impressive sailing yachts of the Ocean Race Kiel Fly-By during their tack or jibe from aboard the paddle steamer Freya! Cruise from 12:00 to 18:00, incl. buffet "Seaexplorer" and cake buffet.
Ferry Ride to Fly-By
You can also watch the spectacle live from the water on the SFK hybrid ferry. The ride goes from 15:00 to 17:15 and is moderated. A unique experience!
