Sailing project Camp 24/7 | 04.05. - 16.09.2018

“A taste of sailing” – trips and sailing courses for children, youths and guests of our city. The sailing camp, which is the only one of its kind in Germany, invites you to optimist sailing courses, city tours by boat, after work sailing and many other sailing events directly at the Kielinie seven days a week.

Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival | 01.07. - 27.08.2018

This year’s international classical music festival will be concentrating on the composer Joseph Haydn and an extensive retrospective. About 120 concerts will take place at over 40 venues in a special atmosphere. Among them noble country estates, castles, churches, grand manors, large barns and stables.

Cheese meets wine | 13.07. - 15.07.2018

The boat harbour (Bootshafen) of Kiel turns into a “celebration of delights”. Wine and cheese lovers are invited to taste a few of the more exquisite types of wine and national cheese in a maritime atmosphere. During the day, visitors are welcome to enjoy live music, small theatrical interludes and there is also the possibility of going sailing. In the evening typical national delicacies will be served in a tent and cheese lovers definitely won’t be the only gourmets catered to.

Kieler Kultursommer | July - August

The summer of culture (“Kultursommer”) will provide you with concerts, theatre shows, readings, expositions, lectures and festivities. The highlight will be the night of the museums (“Museumsnacht”) with its remarkable expositions, music, literature and dance within Kiel’s museums until midnight.

Kieler Bootshafensommer | 20.07. - 25.08.2018

A diverse cultural and aquatic programme awaits the people from Kiel and their guests at the Bootshafen: during six weekends in the afternoon and on into the evening a floating stage will offer poetry slam, jazz dance shows, readings and live music in a relaxed maritime atmosphere. The deck chairs offer a wonderful opportunity to lay back and enjoy the food and drinks with the evening’s harbour in the background.
